Pendi
Terms of use
These are the terms of use of the Pendi Android application. They describe what the app does on your phone, what leaves it, what never leaves, and what you authorize by accepting them. They are written to match what the app does today.
What Pendi is. Pendi organizes your to-dos and your household money on this phone, with your accounts, your budgets, your savings goals and your debts. Your data is kept here, in the app's private storage, and Pendi works without you creating an account.
Notes. Pendi keeps your notes on this phone: text, checklists, link lists, drawings, photos, codes and audio clips, in the app's private storage.
Notifications. If you grant the permission, Pendi reads this phone's notifications from your messaging, email, bank and wallet apps, to spot your expenses so you can confirm them. Pendi checks which of those apps you have installed: some are preselected without you tapping anything, and from those only what carries an amount and a money word gets through; the rest are listed for you to switch on. Every one can be switched off, one by one or all at once, in Settings. Reading and interpreting happen here, and the full text of the notification never leaves the phone.
AI help. When the ordinary path is not enough, Pendi sends a short text to its AI. Those fragments can be processed outside your country; who processes them and from where is in the privacy policy, and it is kept current there. Your family's names, account numbers, card numbers and email addresses never leave: they are removed or replaced on the phone before anything is sent. From a notification, the piece where the merchant is, with the amount masked. From a dictation, the sentence you spoke, already without those details. To create a rule, the message template without the parts that change. The weekly summary carries no money figure at all. In the first three, your category names travel too. The AI can be wrong and no suggestion is applied on its own: you always confirm it. You can turn it off whenever you like under Settings > AI.
Cloud and backups. Nothing is uploaded unless you ask for it. If you share a space with your family, or turn on the backup, that content travels and is stored encrypted and is never used commercially. Backups you export are encrypted with a passphrase only you hold.
What Pendi never does. No ads. No sale of your data. No reading of your SMS: Pendi holds no SMS permission.
